I miss these girls.
I miss trainings.
I miss pre-trainings/post-trainings with clique.
Trainings were tough, but we pulled through it together. Cheering those who haven't finished suicide on, even though we're tired and short of breath. Even though we didn't have much achievements, it was th process of wanting to attain success and enjoying those matches that made feel like all those tough trainings were worth it.
I remember, B Div '07/08 and B Div '08/09 were suuuuuper competitive, 'cos there were so many of us, but only 12 positions. Most to most, there were 2 teams sent in for other carnivals/inter-school competition 'cept for zonals.
Not being a player doesn't mean I wasn't a part of Tanglin Netball. Those not in th main 12 last year took this chance to prove themselves, by teaching th juniors when th others had zonals, correcting their mistakes, helping them improve. I had th chance to lead th team although I wasn't th captain, when Coach Tiffany and Coach Adeline let me take charge of coaching th Sec Ones last year. I was given th chance to lead them well, to correct their mistakes, to punish them whenever necessary. I didn't want to do it, but I know it was for their own good. After all, I let them off once in a while. ;)
I wasn't part of th squad, but I learnt from experience. I wasn't a player, but I learnt to be an umpire. At least it's part of netball.
We seniors should go back one day, and play against th juniors. I bet it'll be fun. Netball sooooooon? :)
Not being able to catch any zonals last year, be it support Tanglin Soccer(even though Tanglin Soccer's B Div played most of their matches at home ground!), Tanglin Basketball boys or Tanglin Netball 'cos of focus was one thing why Sec 4 life pretty much sucked last year. Handball after Math focus probably let Sec 4 life picked up a little. 3E4'08 was th #1 handball class! (Y)
Pretty much thanks to Mr Lim K.G. We picked up any challenge to us be it during PE or after focus, 'cos we had th help of Shawn occasionally(he'll skip class just to play with us. -.-). We played it netball, basketball, soccer style. Cool or what? Heh. Seeing th way we played it after focus made teachers join us too! Mr Tham, Mr Tan E.W., Mr Wan, bla bla. This is probably what makes Tanglin life sooooo much fun. :)
