Talking to Mason the other day after watching his volleyball game made me realise how much we are alike in terms of playing our own sports. Both of us are the same, always the one person voicing out opinions and scolding the team because the others are afraid to do so. Not wanting to be the bad guy in the team but we do it because we play the sport we love. Doing these because if we don't speak up, no one else would. I'm able to tell him everything that happened pre-season and during the Poly & ITE Handball Invitationals and he understands me and what i'm doing for the team because we do the same thing, we want our team to improve. (He scolds his team for fitness but I can't do the same cos I don't make the effort in that area. I realise I tend to focus a lot more on my skills because being one of the 3 stronger shooters in the team, I feel pressurized to score in each game.) He understands when I said sometimes I just keep things to myself because I feel like I'm not in the position to say anything. I can relate to everything he tells me about his team and he knows what I mean about my team. I've never felt better talking about this to anyone, even Caitlin, but to him because it's always better to have someone who feels your situation, being in the same position as you, wanting better for the team even though we have no say (officially). Thank you for being such a good friend though I've only known you this semester ha ha.
